I liked this books very much even though it's so much different than the other Dee Henderson novels. In my eyes it's more a suspensfull drama (with a tiny romantic touch) than a real romantic suspense novel because it's dealing more with the Shannon's issues to re-enter a 'normal' life after a kidnapping and spending almost the entire adult life among her captors.Being pretty new to this author I don't have so many expectations compared to the readers following Dee Hendersons different Christian romantic suspense novels. Perhaps that's the reason I could enjoy the book for what it is: a very good story with great characters and nice balance between character development and flow of events. Also the way the values and principles of living (in our society) anchored in the story were clear but not too blunt. All in all as all the works I read up to date a great book I could recomed without any second thought.Before I started to read this book my Kindle-App showed there are characters from Full Disclosure and Unspoken mentioned in this one. I was concerned about spoilers and contacted the author to check if this is really a stand alone which she confirmed. So I was really disapointed to find out that it contains spoilers. They are not really dramatic
